Aine Teahan and Mark Byrne returned home to Ireland two years ago, having lived in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Sydney for the previous eight years. While both started their working lives in the commercial field, over the course of their travels photography became their passion. They studied photography in Hong Kong and Australia and during their time abroad have worked with a number of leading photographers.

Upon returning to Ireland in pursuit of their dream they launched Purple Productions - a distinctive range of vibrant contemporary photographic art. Drawing on the natural world for inspiration, the Purple Production range of images comprises vivid floral prints and funky abstract art. Their constantly evolving portfolio ranges across the spectrum from images that are very bright & vivid in colour to those which are more subtle. Building on the success of Purple Productions, Aine and Mark ventured into bringing their vibrant contemporary and unique perspective to that most traditional of occasions - the wedding. Bringing an artists eye and a professional hand to the occasion, as well as having two cameras constantly in action, they have found that they can capture both the formal and informal, the posed and the natural, the classic and the modern. Shooting a combination of digital and film, they have discovered that wedding photography offers an opportunity for them to help couples capture the perfect moments from their perfect day.

Aine and Mark take time to meet all couples well in advance of the big day to explain their approach in greater detail, to discuss particular requirements and most importantly to ensure that everyone feels comfortable. Their relaxed and informal approach on the day allows the couple and their guests to relax and enjoy their special day – a fact that is reflected in the images they capture and the testimonials they have received.
