Wedding Session

Your wedding day can pass you by in a whirlwind of preparations, adjustments, meeting and greeting and eating and seating. If you’re not careful, the million-and-one competing demands for your attention can overwhelm you and leave you with nothing more than hazy memories of one of the biggest days of your life. The best way to avoid this is through careful planning and by securing the services of experienced photographers who focus on the individual details that make each wedding unique.

What you can expect from us:

• You will have two people dedicated to you for your big day as Aine & Mark work together on all weddings. We are both professional photographers and have been working together as a creative team for the past 6 years, so we work very well together! Throughout the day, we will have two cameras in operation, allowing us to capture differing perspectives on the day’s events. While one of us focuses on the formal shots, the other can concentrate on being in the right place to capture the little details and fleeting moments that might otherwise be missed.
• We always visit you venue and surrounding locations in advance of your wedding, it makes life so much easier on the day to know the lay of the land. This allows us to seek out the most appealing spots for your photos on the day and determine where the most flattering light is. This will save us valuable time on the day itself.
• We will set up a pre-wedding consultation with you, during which we will establish which elements of your day are most important to you and how best to fit them into your day. During this consultation, we will discuss the specific timeline of your wedding day and use our experience to develop a realistic estimate of the time required for each element.
• We will prepare a detailed plan of the photography for your day, which is flexible enough to handle the inevitable unforeseen events but gives you the confidence that all the “must have” shots have been catered for.

What you can expect on the day itself:

• Aine captures the preparation images with the Bride while, where feasible, Mark does the same with the Groom.
• Aine will capture your arrival at the Church while Mark positions himself at the top of the aisle for the “Here Comes the Bride” moment. We will then take up various positions for the duration of the ceremony to capture events from a variety of angles with a minimum of intrusion.
• With one person to arrange the formal group shots, while the other takes the pictures, we can minimize the time and stress usually associated with the formal “family” and large group images.
• After the ceremony we like to take the Bride & Groom for a short walk through the grounds/venue, away from the distractions of the guests. This allows you time to relax and “gather yourselves” and allows us to capture relaxed, natural images of the newly married couple.
• Back at the function room, one of us will to capture a few formal shots with the cake, while the other circulates through the reception, capturing various “fly on the wall” shots of your guests mingling. We finish up before you sit down for your meal, leaving you free to relax and focus on your food, some champagne and a last chance to rehearse any speeches!!
