Wedding Shoot Tips

  • In advance of the day, decide what’s really important to you, what memories you want to capture. Let us know during our pre-wedding consultation and we’ll ensure those sections are prioritised on the day.
  • Time flies on your wedding day. We’ll help you plan out a rough timeline for the day to ensure you achieve everything you want from you day.
  • Enjoy the process and enjoy your day. You know you’ve prepared well, so try to relax and enjoy your day. We’ll do whatever we can to keep your day as stress-free as possible. The more relaxed you are, the more your natural beauty will shine through in your photographs.
  • If you are having your wedding outside of summer months, bear in mind what time the ceremony is being held. The most beautiful shots are quite often captured outdoors using natural light and you don’t want the ceremony to be finishing so late than all the available light has disappeared!
  • Make sure that you like the photographer and that you get on well with them. Remember you’ll be spending quite a lot of the day with them so you want to have fun and feel comfortable in their presence.
  • When booking the venue for your wedding reception, be conscious of the surroundings. If you are planning to get ready in the hotel, check out the bedroom – will it make for a nice backdrop for your preparation shots? Are there nice spots for photographs if the weather is inclement? Is there a garden, either outside the church or at the venue in which to take photographs?
